Chip Saltsman, que se encuentra en plena campaña para acceder al puesto de presidente del Comité Nacional Republicano, dice que envió discos compactos con la canción acerca del presidente electo, como una broma.
Los opositores dicen que la broma prueba que el Partido Republicano está completamente desconectado de la realidad.
La canción, que parodia al activista negro Al Sharpton quejándose supuestamente de que Obama no es un auténtico afroamericano, fue vista más de 279.000 veces en el sitio 'web' Youtube.
Tomando la melodía de la música de la película infantil 'Puff the Magic Dragon', la canción empieza diciendo: 'Barack the Magic Negro lives in DC.' ('Barack el Negro Mágico vive en el DC').
